Job Description:

Liberty Healthcare is establishing a new program in Oklahoma which will serve and support people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This new program will help people navigate the application, eligibility determination, and wait list process for publicly funded home and community based services. This includes:

  • Providing information to people about publicly funded services
  • Educating people about the process for determining their eligibility for services
  • Assisting people to navigate the service application process
  • Assessing people to determine their needs and eligibility for services
  • Communicating with people about the wait period for services

To support this initiative, Liberty Healthcare is now hiring for several full-time "Waitlist Specialist" positions.

These are remote / field-based positions which come with a high level of autonomy and require regular travel throughout the region. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Meeting virtually and in-person with people in their homes and other residential settings
  • Conducting structured interviews and assessments to determine person-centered needs and eligibility for services and supports
  • Accurately documenting pertinent details of assessments into structured report templates
  • Answering questions related to services, eligibility criteria, and wait periods for services
  • Serving as an ongoing resource for information and updates
  • Independently managing a work schedule to successfully meet individual and program goals
  • Participating in team meetings and training activities

As a Waitlist Specialist and full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare you can expect $22.75 per hour (approximately $47,320 annually) and a comprehensive benefits package - click here for full details

You're a good fit for this position if you possess the following attributes:

  • Genuine desire to serve people who have disabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or related healthcare / human services field
  • Experience serving people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Computer proficiency
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work independently

Since regular daily travel throughout the region is required, you must possess an insured and reliable vehicle. Approved work-related mileage expenses will be reimbursed by Liberty Healthcare. Since this position will allow for some work from home, you should have a dedicated home office. A computer, office equipment and supplies, and a mobile phone will be provided by Liberty Healthcare.
