Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesPatrols St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, and grounds providing security services for the employees, patients, and visitors. Must be flexible with shift according to the needs of the facility.Responds to all incoming security calls within 5 minutes.Perform interior and exterior patrols of the parking lot, checking for safety and security hazards.Reporting all hazards found in according to policy.Perform escort for employees and visitors as requested.Responds to all traffic accidents in parking lot or ER patients and completes incident reports.Responsible for monitoring all entrance and exit doors.Responsible for enforcing the non-smoking policy and directing patients and visitors to the designated smoking areas.Responsible for obtaining and returning patient valuables.Checks interior office entries after business hours to ensure they are locked and secure.Respond to emergency calls and ensure completion of incident reports and corresponding documentation.Completes shift report forms, incident reports, and pass-on-book, in order to document all activities during shift.Maintains the security camera system by changing security tapes at the appropriate time.Secures the building at appropriate times.Communicates departmental security issues with department heads and other security officers.Ability to safely work under pressure and extreme stress; deal with difficult and sometimes violent people and make correct decisions quickly; deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure; remain calm in a crisis situation.Other duties assigned.QualificationsHigh School graduate or GED required.One-year security experience preferredHas current valid Oklahoma Driver's license.Good written and verbal communication skillsMust successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.Must obtain Secure and Team training within 6 months of employment.EEO StatementAll UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
