Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description The role of a Material Handler involves performing cycle counts, data entry, operating forklifts, and saw equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You will be expected to efficiently manage computer systems and ensure high productivity throughout the day. Responsibilities Perform cycle counts accurately and efficiently. Conduct data entry tasks as required. Operate forklifts and saw equipment safely and effectively. Utilize computer systems to manage inventory and production data. Maintain a focus on safety standards at all times. Essential Skills Forklift operation experience. Experience in warehouse and material handling. Proficiency with computer systems and math reading skills, including ruler utilization. Experience with cycle counting. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 1 years minimum experience in a warehouse or production facility, preferably in a metals or manufacturing-related environment. Skills in inventory control, packing, production, order picking, shipping and receiving. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a warehouse and production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiencies. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the employer. Shifts are available across three time periods: 1st shift from 6am-2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
