Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Med/Surg Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,362 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Medicine Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience. - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services while applying nursing techniques. - Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. - Some computer skills. License: - Current RN License issued by the appropriate state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN License. Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association. Must-Have: - Level 1 Trauma experience. - Ability to float in all pediatric units, including acute care units, surgical, behavioral health, medical specialties, hematology/oncology, step-down unit, and cardiac pediatrics. - Experience with tracheostomy care and high-flow oxygen therapy. - Familiarity with infusion therapies and strong clinical skills. - Ability to float to NICU to care for feeder-growers and low-acuity patients only. Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients; observes physiological manifestations and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers competent patient care. Interacts with families and patients, sharing the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff.
