working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: RN Medicine Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of
experience required. License: Current RN License issued by the
State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced
Life Support certifications required. Must-Have: - Level 1 Trauma
experience. - Ability to float to various pediatric units including
acute care, surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty,
hematology/oncology, step down unit, and cardiac pediatrics. -
Experience with tracheostomies and high flow therapy. - Familiarity
with infusion therapy; first line for skills. - Ability to float to
NICU for low acuity cases only. Description: Under general
supervision, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care in a
hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems
ranging from simple to complex. The nurse assumes responsibility
for an assigned group of patients. They document patient responses
to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting
all changes in physician orders. They assist physicians in the
examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic
procedures and treatments. Obtaining and monitoring physiological
data of patients is a key responsibility. The nurse observes
physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when
necessary. They are responsible for administering medication as
prescribed and initiating, regulating, and monitoring intravenous
infusions and blood products. Competent delivery of patient care is
essential. The nurse interacts with families and patients in
sharing the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge.
Informing patients and families of hospital procedures is a part of
their duties. The nurse makes referrals regarding patient care
needs to appropriate personnel. Delegating tasks to support staff
is necessary for efficient care provision. Additional duties may be
