Job Summary and Qualifications Performs Imaging studies of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injury. Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed Assesses patients throughout procedures and responds to patient needs as appropriate Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed, including all computer and PACS functions Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff Demonstrates knowledge of universal protocols, and uses professional judgment and critical thinking skills when performing procedures Assists with orientation and training of new staff and instructs students during their clinical rotations Performs sonograms including Ob/Gyn, abdominal, cerebral, vascular, pediatrics, small part scans, and other necessary studies Participates in the improvement of operational functions of the department Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care and practices identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration Performs all other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician Associate Degree (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RDMS-AB) RDMS Abdomen Specialty, or (RDMS-PS) RDMS Pediatric Sonography, or (RDMS-OB/GYN) RDMS Obstetrics & Gynecology For more than 100 years, Wesley Healthcare has provided exceptional care to thousands of families in Wichita and throughout Kansas and Northern Oklahoma.
