Summary and Qualifications The CT Technologist performs Imaging
studies of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the
diagnosis of disease and injury. What you will do in this role:
Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of
population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult
and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect
to cultural differences and spiritual needs. Positions and prepares
patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be
performed Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and
responds to patients needs as appropriate Completes appropriate
documentation for each study performed Performs all computer and
PACS functions Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice
techniques to protect patients and staff Demonstrates knowledge of
Universal protocols Uses professional judgment and critical
thinking when performing procedures Participates in orientation and
training of new staff members and instructs students during their
clinical rotations Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and
exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures
Follows all Radiation dose monitoring guidelines Performs all other
duties as assigned Qualifications for this role: Required
Registration, Licensure or Certification: Registered by the
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certification as a
Radiologic Technologist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
within 90 days of hire. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
verification course through the American Heart Assoc. or American
Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR Preferred Registration,
Licensure or Certification: Advanced CT registry within 6 months
Required Education or Experience: Graduate of an accredited school
of Radiologic Technology Preferred Education or Experience: One
year of experience in an Imaging Department Required Knowledge and
Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
