Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Medicine Specialty Job Details: • Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required • 1 year travel experience required • Level one preferred • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • Maintain professional nursing standards and practices Facility: This academic medical center is a leading healthcare institution that provides comprehensive medical services and serves as a teaching hospital.
