HCA Healthcare invites applications for the position of Nurse
Extern Neuro Trauma in our renowned neurology and trauma units.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience
and direct mentorship in the field of neuro trauma care while
supporting the delivery of expert, patient-centered treatment. Our
Nurse Externs play a pivotal role in a team dedicated to
maintaining the highest standards of care and improving patient
outcomes at one of America’s leading healthcare services providers.
Assist with basic patient care activities under the supervision of
a registered nurse, including monitoring vital signs, and
administering medication. Support the nursing staff in the
implementation of care plans and document patient interactions and
outcomes. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss
patient care and progress. Help maintain a safe and clean
environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations,
and following prescribed sanitary standards. Engage in educational
opportunities to update knowledge and skills, contributing to the
quality of patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Basic understanding of clinical practices and medical terminology
related to neuro trauma. Capability to perform tasks with attention
to detail. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required upon
hire. Completion of initial nursing externship coursework as per
program guidelines.
