In this role, you will have the opportunity to offer comfort and promote the dignity of terminally ill patients within a supportive and spiritually nurturing environment. As an RN-Hospice PRN, you will provide patient-centered, specialized care, directly influencing the lives of individuals and their families during their most critical times. Provide professional nursing care to patients in a hospice setting. Assess patient condition during every visit and chart your observations. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, managing pain and symptoms, and medication administration. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Promote patient's independence by setting patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Strong skills in patient assessment and pain management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage time effectively and handle both emotional and physical stress. Proficiency in maintaining professional boundaries and respecting cultural and religious practices among patients. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license valid in state of practice. Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification preferred.
