Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active OK or Compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of ER experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Works in a General Emergency Department serving a combined adult and pediatric population - Coverage may also include the Observation (OBS) unit - Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM - Meditech EMR experience is strongly preferred - Handles a variety of ED procedures including cardiac monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy/phlebotomy, procedural sedation, triage, and psychiatric holds - Community hospital experience preferred - Travel pairs are accepted for this position - Holiday RTO requests will not be approved — any RTO must be submitted upfront - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Orientation includes online modules averaging approximately 8 hours total (2–3 hours each), completed during orientation /n /n Requirements/n - Active OK or Compact RN license currently in hand - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS - TNCC preferred - NIHSS certification - Minimum 1 year of RN experience required - Meditech EMR experience required - Proficiency with IV therapy, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and triage - Experience with psychiatric patients, including suicidal patients and psychiatric holds - PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration - Two professional references required for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-676079.
