The chosen candidate will provide compassionate and efficient care to patients in psychiatric units, ensuring their emotional and mental health needs are met. This position requires adaptability to different healthcare settings and a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through exceptional nursing practices. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans for psychiatric patients. Monitor patient's mental health status and adjust care plans accordingly. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and care systems. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Provide crisis intervention services when necessary. Proficient in psychiatric care standards and protocols. Strong observation skills for behavioral and mood changes. Ability to manage medical emergencies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to maintain patient confidentiality. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Certification (PMHNC) preferred.
