Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, CPI or MAB required Must-Have: BLS & CPI or MAB certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. Previous charge experience preferred. Experience with Epic charting system preferred. Community hospital experience preferred. LTAC experience preferred. Trauma Level I and II experience preferred. Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Behavioral Health unit. Candidate will work night shifts with a patient ratio of 6:1. The unit primarily serves adults and has a daily census of 17. Responsibilities include medication administration and crisis intervention. Skills in behavior management, de-escalation techniques, and assessment are essential. Experience with antianxiety, antidepressants, and antipsychotics is valuable. Required to manage suicide risk and self-injurious behavior. Will perform vital sign checks and monitor blood glucose levels. Physical hold protocols may be necessary in managing aggressive behavior. Travelers may be expected to float to like units as needed. Modules will be completed onsite during orientation. Candidates must have experience in psychiatric nursing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Commitment to providing patient-centered care is a must. Familiarity with trauma and stressor-related disorders is desirable. The role includes working with interdisciplinary support teams.
