Associate's degree or higher. - Core knowledge and understanding of
normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology. - Ability to work and
communicate with staff, patients, and their families in a
professional and compassionate manner. - Ability to multi-task and
remain calm in stressful situations. Description: This entry-level
position works under immediate to general supervision and direction
of a mentor/preceptor. The role aims to achieve the initial
competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or
radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient
populations. The purpose of this position is to aid medical staff
in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to
complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases. Responsibilities
include providing safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective
patient-centric care and support services. This role encompasses
various care settings such as acute inpatient facilities,
outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and
remote clinics. The technologist prepares patients for procedures
and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by
physicians. Effective communication and collaboration with
patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team are
essential to implement necessary actions for clinical outcomes.
Utilizing specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment
and techniques, the technologist performs a diverse range of
diagnostic, interventional, or surgical procedures. Post-procedure
reviews are conducted to confirm all required elements are
completed and documented. The technologist transfers images and
data to archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and
prepares studies for physician reporting. Operator-level quality
control checks and user maintenance tasks are performed per
regulatory guidelines. Participation in continuing education and
professional development activities is expected to maintain
competencies and promote continuous improvement in care and
treatments. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Requirements
