Job Description:
Seeking a Practical Nurse for a 26-bed telemetry unit
specializing in Stroke and Neurology patient care. Provide
practical nursing under RN or physician supervision, assisting with
data collection, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Deliver age-appropriate care, supporting patient growth and
development. Contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan and
identify educational needs for patients, families, and caregivers.
Administer prescribed medications and therapeutic treatments,
advocating for patient rights and offering psychological, social,
and cultural support. Participate in performance improvement
initiatives and support team development. Qualifications include
graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, licensure
in Virginia, and BLS-HCP certification. De-escalation training
required within four months of hire. Full-time, 12-hour shifts
including days, evenings, and holidays.
