OU Health is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Nephrology for a
per diem / prn nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Medicine Nephrology Unit consists of 22 beds. This unit is part
of our new collaborative care model, where a grouping of ten
patients is cared for by a team consisting of RN, LPN and a
dedicated CTA. The unit is divided into two groupings or pods, to
care for a medicine surgical patient population, with a focus of
renal disease, acute dialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and all other
medicine related diagnosis. There are also two dedicated comfort
care/end of life suites, which are staffed with a dedicated
concierge RN, providing care for the patient and family during the
final stages of life. Join this compassionate and empathetic unit

The Collaborative Care Model is an innovative new strategy
dedicated to making sure that the Post Trauma unit has the right
resources at the right place for our patients in a way that can be
easily modified it to the patient's unique needs. In this model, a
collaborative team made up of a Registered Nurse, Licensed
Practical Nurse, and Care Team Associate will be assigned to a
certain number of patients. In addition to those primary roles,
there will also be additional support staff of a direct care
pharmacist, a phlebotomist, and an EVS (Environmental Services)
attendant. This model puts all the right people in all the right
places to give the best care we can to our patients.
One (1) year of RN experience is preferred for this position.

hospital setting with health problems ranging from simple to

RN I represents the nurse who is a novice or an advanced beginner

--- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and
prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician
order on assigned patients.
--- Assists physician in the examination of patients and in
performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
--- Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes
the physiological manifestations of patients, and intervenes when
necessary.
--- Delivers patient care safely and competently.
--- Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance
with policy and in collaboration with support staff.
--- Informs patient and family of hospital procedures and shares
care plan during the time of care and at the time of discharge.
--- Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate
personnel.
--- Fosters a growth mindset through seeking mentorship, remaining
open to coaching and feedback, and maintaining professional
certification(s)/licensure in order to perpetually develop and
uphold the skills required for proficiency within the nursing
profession.
--- Develops a professional career plan and establishes personal,
performance goals in alignment with enterprise-wide metrics,
frequently measuring progress with department leadership.
--- Fosters an inclusive workforce where individual differences are

--- Delegates tasks to clinical support staff as needed.
--- Minimum Qualifications (RN I):
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered
Nurse. License/Certification/Registration:
--- Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the
Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact
Registered Nurse (eNLC)).
--- Minimum Qualifications (RN II):
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in patient care as a Registered
Nurse required. License/Certification/Registration:
--- Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the
Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact
Registered Nurse (eNLC)).
--- Minimum Qualifications (RN III):
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
--- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in patient care as a Registered
Nurse required. License/Certification/Registration:
--- Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the
Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact
Registered Nurse (eNLC)).
--- Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices,
techniques, and procedures.
--- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing
services and apply nursing techniques.
--- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs
of patients and visitors.
--- Skilled in computer applications designed to ensure quality and
safety measures for patients.
--- Ability to maintain compliance accreditation with local, state,
and federal regulatory standards.
--- Ability to foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and
individual differences are valued and maximized to achieve the
vision and mission of the organization.
