Big Five Community Services is hiring for a Health Specialist-Covers all NW Counties Must be 18 years of age and have obtained a High School Diploma or GED. Individual from RN, LPN, LPV field highly preferred College level courses in Early Childhood and the Health field desired. Two years of experience in working with pre-school age children required. Must have good communication skills and be capapble of working productively as a team member with other Head Start employees, families and professionals. Must have dependable transportation to travel throughout the Big Five Head Start area. Must comply with agency policies and procedures. Position will be located in Central or Northwest Oklahoma. Eligible applicants must pass a DHS Background review. Pre-employment drug testing required. Must have a valid Oklahoma driver's license, proof of automobile liability insurance and a good driving record. Within 30 days of employment must be Pediatric first aid and CPR certified. Employment is conditional pending immediate enrollment in Head Start Orientation. Ability to respond appropriately (both mentally and physically) to an emergency or a crisis situation. Daily kneeling, stooping, bending, and sitting on the floor to attend to children's needs. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
