responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of
electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing
environment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill
clusters, such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical
systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. This
person will perform medium to high-level machine systems
troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all
phases of the operation. This work will be of average to
considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of a variety of
mechanical maintenance actions. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The

Works from verbal and written instructions, blueprints, and
sketches to complete work orders and PMs. Troubleshoots and
diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs. Applies
skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks
to adjust, repair, dissemble, replace, and reassemble plant
equipment. Performs preventive maintenance routines and
inspections. Utilizes hand tools and common powered hand and shop
tools. Approaches job duties with a sense of accuracy and urgency.
Other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements Ability to perform
a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including
grasping, pinching hands, flexing and extending arms Ability to
stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
Ability to work around animal blood and/or body parts Ability to
work in cold areas (Approx. 20-40F) Ability to work in warm
areas(over 100F) Ability to work in a wet/humid environment Ability
to work with a knife (if trained) Ability to work while wearing a
hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes Can
understand and follow oral and written instructions Can lift heavy
objects, which can weigh up to 60lbs. Ability to work with
sanitation/cleaning chemicals Ability to work with strong
odors/smells Can work in a noisy environment Ability to climb, move
on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms Can bend,
stoop, and twist repetitively throughout your entire shift Can walk
long distances Repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs. Ability to
operate powered industrial trucks, including scissor lifts, pallet
jacks, etc. Ability to work with a variety of chemicals, solvents,
and understand/abide by the corresponding material safety data
sheet, MSDS Ability to read, write the following: work orders,
instructions, daily reports and machine manuals Willing to pass
physical to wear respirators or self-contained breathing apparatus
Stand and/or work on the following: moving platforms and elevated
platforms Ability to receive and relate orders/information using
various communication devices Qualifications HS Diploma or
equivalency required Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from
two-year college or technical school; and 2 to 4 years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience preferred Must be able to read and write fluently in
English to communicate and understand technical/ training manuals
written in English. Possess the ability to function effectively in
a team environment and interact productively with all levels of
team personnel and outside contractors. Ability to operate a
forklift, genie lift or scissor lift preferred Displays sound
judgment, organizational skills and the ability to work
independently with little supervision. Applicants must be
authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Work
Environment The work environment characteristics described here are

be willing to work 8-10 hours daily up to 6 days per week with some
