Job Description Job Description Lead Precision Repairs that Keep Aircraft Flying Safely! PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Composite Mechanic to join our aerospace team in Wichita, KS. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in structural composite repair to ensure the airworthiness of critical aircraft components. Your technical skill will directly impact flight safety and customer satisfaction. Skilled Composite Mechanic Needed – Aerospace Industry Join PDS Tech Commercial | Wichita, KS | 42.82–46.39/hr | Full-Time Consultant (4 Months) Key Responsibilities: Perform structural and non-structural composite repairs in an FAA-approved Repair Station. Work from structural repair manuals (SRMs), component maintenance manuals, aircraft maintenance manuals, and approved airline/customer documentation. Team with colleagues to repair, overhaul, and maintain fiberglass, acrylic, composite, and metal aircraft parts. Use measurement tools (mechanical and electronic) to verify part dimensions, including first article inspections. Perform inspections, document non-conforming conditions, and prepare quality records per FAA regulations. Support process improvement and repair validation using CAD/CAM or similar digital tools. Coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams to meet technical standards and deadlines. Remain certified in Structural Composite Repair and maintain personal certifications. Be available for domestic and international travel on short notice to support operator maintenance needs. Required Qualifications: 5 years of AOG (Aircraft on Ground) experience. Proven expertise in composite repair (not layup). Structural Composite Repair Certification (TR009348). Willingness to comply with FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol testing programs. Ability to pass initial repair station screening. Preferred: Experience with large commercial aircraft (please note: brand-specific experience omitted per your request). Why Join Us?
