Maintenance Technician - Residential Properties

Location:--Wichita, KS

Job Type:--Full-Time ---Pay:--$17.00 - $22.00/hour (DOE and skills)

Professional Home Buyers has been serving Wichita for over 20 years. We're growing and looking for a reliable, skilled--Maintenance Technician--to join our team. You'll help maintain rental homes, prep make-ready units, and assist with home flips in a positive, team-oriented work environment.



Schedule:



--- Monday - Friday
--- 8-hour shifts
--- Some flexibility may be required based on project needs
--- 40 hours per week expected


Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
--- Perform general maintenance and repairs in rental properties and homes under renovation
--- Work with the team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule
--- Communicate with tenants and property managers in a professional manner
--- Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues
--- Install appliances and equipment
--- Handle maintenance tasks such as changing light fixtures, repairing locks, and replacing faucets
--- Assist in framing, installing baseboards, cabinets, and general finish work
--- Inspect homes, identify issues, and report them to the property manager
--- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
--- Fencing, siding, and more as needed

Qualifications:
What We're Looking For
--- 2+ years of residential maintenance experience preferred, but we will train the right person
--- Solid skills in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
--- Experience using hand and power tools
--- Self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills
--- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
--- Valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance required
--- Own basic tools
--- Able to perform physical labor, lift heavy items, and handle physically demanding tasks
--- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
