functions. The Quality Manager, Building Enclosure Systems provides
technical expertise regarding applied quality assurance/control
measures, installation best practices, regulatory standards, and
code requirements as they relate to building enclosure systems
(i.e. waterproofing, exterior wall, and roofing systems).
Additionally, this role supports the Senior Manager, Craft & Trade
Quality in general project-specific quality implementation
activities. • Facilitates the development and review of
Project-Specific Quality Plans, project-level policies, processes,
and procedures in accordance with Flintco’s Quality Management
Program requirements and project-specific Contract documents. •
Supports and follows up to ensure that project teams are following
their Project-Specific Quality Management Plan. • Builds and
maintains system templates for various scopes and installation
activities conducted in the field, including Flintco standard
preparatory, initial, and follow-up quality activities specified
for various scopes of work. • Manages and tracks collection of data
for field-provided Quality KPIs and metrics. • Prepares and reviews
quality requirements for pre-bid meetings and solicitations. •
Reviews the ITP’s submitted by the project team and Trade Partners
prior to start work • Controls, directs, and coordinates high-risk
inspections with 3rd Parties and Trade Partners; provides buy-out
support to the project team for procurement of testing agencies and
consultants. • Conducts site visits and inspections of work in
place for critical assemblies and high-risk operations. • Maintains
oversight for document management of quality records as required by
each Project-Specific Quality Plan, and reviews records from time
to time for completeness. • Reads and understands specifications,
reference codes and standards • Reviews and interprets contract
drawings • Provides training and coaching for
functional/operational team members to identify key project risks,
related to quality. • Assist team with risk prevention planning and
follow up • Determines, communicates, and documents deficiencies
and ensure they are corrected in a timely manner (NCR Log). •
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathering and
analyzing information skillfully to develop alternative solutions •
When necessary, reviews shop drawings and submittals for
conformance with project specifications and contract requirements.
• Initiates Three Phase Inspection process. Conducts daily
observations to ensure that all Three Phases of Inspection are
undertaken and implemented as designed and document all results.
Examine the work area to assure that all required work has been
completed and is in compliance with the contract requirements and
resolve any differences • Verifies and document that all matters
received for the project are in conformance with the approved
submittal, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable
for use Knowledge/Skills/Ability • 5 years of experience in
construction management, focused on quality assurance and control
oversight. • Applied knowledge of the three-phased approach to
Quality - preparatory, initial, and follow-up - as applied at the
project level for construction execution. • Working knowledge of
design/construction work management systems, including Procore and
Bluebeam. • Currently maintain, or have the ability to obtain,
IIBEC Registered Roof Observer, IIBEC Registered Roof Consultant,
IIBEC Waterproofing Consultant, IIBEC Exterior Wall Observer, IIBEC
Exterior Wall Consultant, IIBEC Building Enclosure Consultant,
and/or USACOE Construction Quality Management - Contractor (CQM-C)
certification. • Experience ensuring field compliance with the
following governance authorities, technical affiliations, and
codes/standards: IBC, ANSI, ASTM, AAMA, NEBB, SPRI, IIBEC, LEED,
and/or ISO-9001. • Ability and expectation to spend 90-100% of time
directly supporting Flintco Operations projects, and up to 10%
developing/maintaining Flintco Quality program, personnel, and
development initiatives. • Able to work independently, gathering
and defining work plans and applying appropriate problem-solving
methods when necessary. • Able to partner effectively with internal
and external peers, management teams, and customers when planning
and executing scopes of work. • Able to communicate effectively
with peers, supervisors, and managers on issues, trends, and
assignments. • Follows and enforces Safety Rules and Practices. •
Stop work, if necessary, to resolve matters that affect safety,
quality, and/or inhibit the logical progress of work. Education
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management,
or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. Experience 10-15 years of experience; or an equivalent
combination of education and experience Physical Requirements

Occasionally, especially when managing multiple projects and during
problematic opening and/or closing phases of projects, mental
stress can be taxing. May be required to work long hours for
extended periods of time. Special Job Dimensions The office
provides a safe and healthy work environment, is adequately heated

appropriate lighting and office furnishings, and is smoke-free and
drug-free. While performing the duties of this * NOTE – Where
